EVERY year, all sorts of artists and studios make themselves known around the area, welcoming the public to see what goes on in their artistic realm. Known as Bucks Art Week, it is always fascinating and instructive and this year before it begins on June 14, there is a free, special preview now on at the County Museum. Entitled, Fanfare, it is an exhibition of what they term a glorious mix of paintings, ceramics, jewellery, knitting, sculpture and much more. TEA Dance time is back at Oldham Hall. Organised by Fifties and Beyond (FAB), it starts at 2pm until 4pm next Wednesday with music and instruction by Jean Adkins. HOPI ear candles are a mystery to me but all will be revealed on Sunday, June 8 at the Summer Festival of Life, Health and Therapy Fair. In support of the charity Action Research, the organisers claim you can experience harmony, tranquility balance and well-being. Have your aura photographed, read the runes and experience Chakra balancing. Also available is Indian Head massage, reflexology, Amatsu and aromatherapy and I'm still nowhere near the end of the experiences you can find at the Memorial Hall next Sunday from 11am until 5pm. MISSENDEN Abbey Antiques fair to raise money for The Roald Dahl Foundation is on Saturday from 11am until 5pm and Sunday from 10am until 5pm. It is enormous and for £3 entrance you have access to over 42 dealers. Details from 01525 402596.

MIKE Wills is Benny Goodman, see for yourself at the special presentation called, An Evening with Benny Goodman, next Saturday, June 7 at the Memorial Hall. Organised by Great Missenden and Prestwood Lions and featuring the Martin Hart Quartet with Mike on clarinet. It starts at 7.30pm for 8pm and tickets are £12 including a cheese supper. Bring your own drinks. This evening is in aid of Wycombe Scannappeal Cancer Unit and the Abbeyfield Great Missenden Extension Appeal.
