A 31-year-old man has been charged with the murder of man who was stabbed after a crash near the Walthamstow markets, last month.
Dennis Bourne, of Tottenham, was to appear before Waltham Forest Magistrates Court on Saturday, charged with the murder of Denzil Sutherland in Walthamstow on Saturday March 29.
Police believe Mr Sutherland was attacked by three men after an accident with another vehicle when he got out of his car to inspect the damage.
After being injured Mr Sutherland managed to drive back to his mother's house in Century Road where he was found slumped at the wheel. He died later in hospital.
The victim's mother, Rosalyn Sutherland, has paid tribute to her 24-year-old son.
"Denzil was more than just a son to me, he was also my best friend," she said.
"He was hard working, loving and ambitious and had just been planning a career change and had aspirations of becoming a fireman."
A week after the murder, officers returned to the scene and distributed leaflets and posters, of a car similar to the one Mr Sutherland was driving on the day he was stabbed.
