A 39-year-old man suffered a broken arm and cut head in an apparently motiveless attack by two people.

He was attacked from behind and hit with a piece of wood and a bottle as he walked down an alleyway between Rickmansworth Road and Mill Farm Close in Pinner at 7.35pm on Wednesday last week.

His attackers left him lying in the alley, but he was was found a short while later by a passer-by who alerted called an ambulance and the police. He was taken to Northwick Park Hospital where he received treatment before being released.

Police said the attack had no apparent motive as the man was not robbed.

His attackers were both white. One was 16, 5ft5 and wearing a dark jacket and woolly hat. His accomplice was 20, 5ft, and wearing a long, pale sheepskin jacket.
