Students at Coloma Convent School, Shirley, were evacuated on Thursday March 6 after a small fire broke out in the school's chapel.
The fire was caused by a candle, used in the children's prayers, igniting the wooden block it was resting on. One of the staff supervising the service extinguished the fire but as a precaution students were evacuated and the fire service was called.
