Poor D M C Earle, condemned forever to shop at the Co-op in Hither Green because of their principles (Letters, July 22).
Not that I'm against the Co-op. It's fine for people who have the leisure to go shopping during normal working hours, and for those who can afford the prices. And it's fine so long as you're not looking for anything a little unusual.
But let's face it, the Co-op does have its limitations, which is why so many of us do our main shopping at Sainsbury's or Tesco. I agree with your correspondents who want to see a new Tesco on the old hospital site, and the sooner the better.
