BUSINESS owners informed and entertained an invited audience of 60 business people at the first of a series of entrepreneur evenings organised by Furness Enterprise.
The events aim to celebrate the best of retail and leisure businesses in Ulverston. Chris and Janet Benefield have rapidly expanded their retail outlets over the past four years. Best known for The Tinner's Rabbit, they have completely refurbished this and other properties as the business continues to grow.
Qualified beauty therapist Helen Daintree reported she is so busy that she is considering creating extra working space. Haydn Hicks spoke frankly about how foot-and-mouth cost him a substantial amount of money in his ventures in Bowness. Roger Chattaway earned applause for speaking passionately about his support for Ulverston and Furness in the future.
