COOKHAM Dean resident Clive Woodward received his OBE from Her Majesty The Queen at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
The England coach, who was joined by his family at the ceremony, was honoured for his contribution to the sport after five successful years in charge of the England team.
Most recently, Woodward guided England to wins over New Zealand, Australia and South Africa in the autumn Investec Challenge Series.
Woodward said: "I feel very humble."
"The award is a testament to all the coaches and players I have worked with.
"The OBE is a reflection of everyone's efforts within the set-up that has brought us two Six Nations' titles and two Triple Crowns."
Woodward, who played for Leicester, England and the British Lions, will be in charge of England for the World Cup in Australia next year as he hopes to guide England to their first World Cup title.
