WEST HAM manager Glenn Roeder is in hospital after collapsing shortly after his side won a vital victory.

Roeder collapased with chest pains following the press conference after today's game against Middlesbrough, which the relegation-threatened Hammers won 1-0.

A statement on West Ham's web site http://www.whufc.com read: " Mr Glenn Roeder was taken ill shortly after the press conference following today's game against Middlesbrough.

"The club doctor was called and, after examining him, decided to call an ambulance whereupon he was taken to the Royal London hospital.

"He was stabilised in the Accident and Emergency department and the hospital is carrying out further tests to establish the problem."

An earlier statement on the site read: "The thoughts of everyone at the club are of course with Glenn, his wife Faith, and his family.
