Staff and pupils from St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Redhill spent an afternoon playing host to local senior citizens.
A group of pensioners joined the youngsters and their teachers for refreshments and to enjoy performances given by the children.
One group recited poetry and there was music from the orchestra, string group and a special performance from the school choir.
A spokesman for Linkfield Lane school commented: "The children were perfect hosts, welcomed their guests very warmly and thoroughly enjoyed serving refreshments and chatting with them all."
