CHILDREN from a Welling school were transported to Africa, back to the Second World War and into Mr McGregor's garden during their annual book week. St Michael's Church of England Primary School, in Wrotham Road, Welling, enjoyed storytellers' book readings, a trip to the Unicorn Theatre and the chance to buy lots of new books, as well as ending the week by dressing up as their own favourite book characters.
