TRANSPORT bosses are trying to find ways to get the derailed passenger train back on track.
Railtrack and operating company South Central staff at the station are "considering options" for returning the eight-carriage early morning train to the rails.
A Railtrack spokesman said this morning: "It may be that we get another train to pull it back or we may need to bring in a crane to lift it. These decisions are yet to be taken."
It is thought the 6.52am Victoria to Beckenham Junction service came off the rails after hitting the buffers as it pulled into the station. No one was injured.
Most services are running as normal but some trains are delayed. Passengers at West Norwood station in London were advised to travel to West Croydon and take the tram to Beckenham.
South Central will be investigating the cause of the incident.
