POETRY TODAY: Publisher Poetry Today is organising a competition and wants contributions from Bromley residents on the subject of new beginnings. Up to two poems in any style should be sent to New Beginnings, Poetry Today, Remus House, Peterborough PE2 9JX before March 1.

COMMERCE FIRST: For the first time in the borough's history, Bromley has its own Chamber of Commerce. The British Chamber of Commerce gave permission for the project in December and 450 members have signed up so far. Call 020 8290 6568.
