A SIGNED England football shirt is being auctioned to raise cash for a new adventure playground.
Rectory Paddock School, St Mary Cray, aims to raise £26,000 to build a specially-adapted playground for the school's mentally and physically disabled pupils.
The school got the shirt from squad chef Roger Narbett, who is a friend of one of the pupils' parents, and England players, including David Beckham and Michael Owen, agreed to help by signing it.
But there have been no bids for the prize, even though the shirt has been up for auction for four weeks.
Headteacher Dr Viv Hinchcliffe said: "This is a unique piece of English football history and, now that the country is football crazy, it would be a shame if we didn't get a good offer."
For a chance to win the shirt, send your bid, against a reserve of £500, to England Football Shirt Auction, Rectory Paddock School, Main Road, Orpington.
