YOUNGSTERS at a top environmentally-friendly school are looking forward to sitting on a new bench after winning an award from Bromley Council.
Judges at the borough-wide environmental awards ceremony last month decided the 10 years of green projects run by Raglan Primary School, in Raglan Road, Bromley, were worthy of this year's special award.
A bench was delivered just before the end of term to reward the school for its efforts and provide children with a place to look over their hard work.
The school is a leading environmental school in the country. This year's projects included a glass re-cycling project, encouraging other schools and local authorities to have paper collections for re-cycling and a walk-to-school week.
