A SPECIAL scheme in Bromley, to train new teachers on the job, provided the borough with 25 newly-qualified staff last week.
Bromley Schools' Collegiate involves seven schools in the borough which provide training for new recruits while they work in the classroom and earn a salary.
The majority of the new teachers from the scheme, rated fifth in the country, have found permanent jobs in the borough's schools.
Taster days for graduates considering a teaching career are planned for autumn. Call Gill Kendal on 020 8295 3749.
