BROMLEY is continuing a recruitment campaign for new foster carers during National Foster Care Fortnight, which starts this week.
At least 60 new carers are needed during the next two years as there are currently 327 children in care.
Tony and Leslie Almond, aged 51 and 50, have cared for more than 27 children in 10 years of fostering in Bromley.
He said: "Foster care is difficult but it is also very rewarding. You feel like you're giving something back to the kids and they have a lot to give you."
Allowances for foster carers are from £301 to £450 a week.
Council spokesman Gill Barnard said: "We need people from different backgrounds and of all ages, whether they are single or in partnerships."
