THREE teenagers from Langley Park School for Girls have represented the UK and won a top prize in an international competition for young scientists.
Jo Daniel, Alex Wilkie and Gemma Dawson - all 18 - came first in the contest in Amsterdam.
The contest selects the best science projects devised by students from across Europe.
Jo, Alex, and Gemma were all awarded first places, each receiving £1,000 and a special prize of a month in Italy, taking part in a research project at the European Joint Research Centre.
A spokesman for the school said: "This accolade is a reflection of their hard work and obvious talents. We wish them every success in the future."
The three students are now going on to university.
