A dangerous dent and a patchy pavement are the subject of this week’s report.

A crater has appeared in Brook Road, Buckhurst Hill, at the junction with Epping New Road, just metres away from another hole which was repaired on November 5.

The crater, big enough for a grown man to sit in, is around 20 centimetres deep and 50 centimetres in diameter.

I have Anita Konrath of Fernside, Buckhurst Hill, to thank for pointing it out to me.

I also found some more frightening fractures in Loughton Way and Pentlow Way.

There are two potential hazards materialising at the junction of the two roads and a problem pavement down one side of Pentlow Way.

No doubt a few cold and rainy days will mean the problems get worse before they get better.

Hopefully the county council will hear my cry for them to repair road ruts in Epping Forest and give me my long awaited fifth repair of the campaign later this week.
