Repairs to 60 roads in Epping Forest have been announced as part of £17.5million investment in highways across Essex.

The "urgent" work is expected to be completed by March next year.

Dedicated road repair crews were recently doubled to 36 to meet demand across the county, but potholes identified between now and March will not be repaired.

Councillor Rodney Bass, cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: “These roads are in urgent need of repair and we are making the manpower available to get the job done to bring the County’s roads up to standard.”
