CLAYHALL Avenue has reopened after reports of a suspect package were investigated, but a house on the road has been cordoned off.

Police confirmed they had been on the scene investigating reports of a suspect package earlier.

Three police vehicles are currently parked outside the cordoned off house.

Fire and ambulance crews also attended the scene.

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3.05pm to an incident in Clayhall Avenue.

"Our staff stood by at the scene until 4.35pm when we stood down as there were no patients to treat."
