Wanstead and Woodford are facing up to a future without police stations after the publication of cost-cutting plans confirming both stations are earmarked for closure.
City Hall today released its draft Police and Crime Plan outlining proposals to save £500million by 2015 which includes details of station closures.
The consultation document also outlines plans to increase the number of safer neighbourhood officers in the borough from 61 to 129 by 2015 and bring the total number of officers based in the borough, including safer neighbourhood officers, up to 530 from 444.
The public will have their chance to have their say on the proposals for Redbridge at a meeting in Redbridge Town Hall on February 11.
