A project set up to help older carers in Redbridge has received a cash boost of £40,000.
Redbridge Carers Support Services provides a range of services and support to carers in the borough.
The organisation will use a grant provided through the Health Lottery to develop a project designed to support carers over the age of 70.
Cathy O’Keeffe, Older Carers Services Manager of Redbridge Carers Support Services, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have received this extra funding from the People’s Health Trust.
“To know that we can now build on the success that we’ve achieved as a result of the initial funding is great news for the team here, as well as to the carers that we support through this project.”
Redbridge Carers Support Service provide a range of services including benefits advice, health & wellbeing activities, home visits, support groups and confidential counselling.
