Applicants wanted to help design improved shop fronts for town centre

Artists, graphic designers, illustrators and architects are wanted to help design new shop fronts for a town centre regeneration.

Plans to regenerate Barkingside town centre are underway and DK-CM, the company behind the £2.1million scheme, are looking for ideas from creative residents to give a boost to the shop fronts in High Street.

Successful applicants would join the Barkingside Frontages team and would work from a room in Fullwell Cross Library for the next 12 months to come up with ideas and keep residents informed of projects.

Applications must be received by January 28.

Uniform Signage, restriction on threshold clutter and limited posters would go a long way.

Look at Edwardian Pride in old Photo's and you cannot go wrong.

Had a feeling this wouldn't be about Waltham Forest.
Our decision-makers have the same ethos as the French civil service: 'When you want to drain the pond it is pointless to consult the frogs.'
