The Central line has severe delays after a man died after being struck by a train.
The line was suspended between Leytonstone and Liverpool Street in the westbound direction earlier this afternoon after British Transport Police were called to the incident at Mile End station at 11.54am.
A spokeswoman said the death was being treated as non-suspicious.
She added: “Medics from London Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
Mile End station reopened at 1.15pm and the Leytonstone to Liverpool Street section is up and running again but severe delays are still affecting the service in both directions across the entire line.
