Redbridge Council has announced it will review the premises licence for Funky Mojoe in High Road, South Woodford.
A council spokeswoman said the review follows a series of incidents and complaints near the venue over a period of time.
The announcement comes less than a week after a mass brawl involving as many as 40 people erupted in the early hours of the morning outside the bar.
Owners of the venue were formally notified of the decision today.
The Council’s Head of Community Protection and Enforcement will request that the licensing sub-committee review the licence.
This could include revoking the licence or reducing its hours so that the venue must close earlier.
