The leader of the Green Party, Natalie Bennett, will join Leyton and Wanstead MP, John Cryer, for a discussion on fracking.
The politicians will be at Wanstead Library in Spratt Hall Road on March 8 from 6.30pm for a screening of ‘Gasland’ a documentary on the booming US shale gas industry.
The film claims to expose the risks to human health and the environment posed by hydraulic fracturing (fracking).
After the screening Guy Shrubsole, Friends of the Earth Specialist Energy Campaigner, will lead the politicians and the audience in a discussion.
The event is being organised by the Wanstead and Woodford Friends of the Earth.
