Woman taken to hospital after road traffic collision outside The George pub in High Street, Wanstead

A 20-year-old woman was taken to hospital after a road traffic collision near the George pub in Wanstead last night.

The incident happened in High Street at around 7.30pm.

A spokeswoman from the London Ambulance Service said the woman was treated for back and rib injuries and taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel as a priority.

She was unable to confirm reports that the woman had been on rollerblades when she was hit by a car.

The Guardian has asked Redbridge police for more details.
