A man who sexually assaulted two women on the Tube was jailed 48 hours after his first attack.
Gurjinder Singh, 25, of Talbot Gardens in Ilford, was also placed on the sex offenders register for five years.
The first victim, 44, boarded a Victoria Line train at Green Park and left at Oxford Circus after Singh touched her inappropriately.
British Transport Police officers in plain clothes were patrolling the platform at Oxford Circus the next day and followed Singh onto a train after they noticed him acting suspiciously.
They witnessed him inappropriately touch a 24-year-old woman and arrested him at Holborn.
The following day he pleaded guilty at Westminster Magistrates’ Court to two counts of sexual assault and jailed for eight weeks.
Investigating officer PC Thomas O’Regan said: "He was caught during a two-week operation that saw a total of 15 people arrested across London for sexual offences."
"If someone has made you feel uncomfortable on your tube journey, however insignificant it may seem to you, reporting it to police can prevent this happening to another passenger."
Singh was sentenced on September 26.
