The Archbishop of Canterbury was the guest of honour at a church's centenary service this morning.
Justin Welby lead the eucharist at St Gabriel’s in Aldersbrook Road, Wanstead, to mark the founding of the church by the Bishop of Chelmsford on May 16, 1914.
The Archbishop also preached the sermon, while a new mosaic marking the centenary, illustrating the baptism of Christ, was dedicated during the service.
