The male targeted elderly women in South Woodford
A warning has been issued after reports of a man falsely requesting money to take a neighbour to hospital.
The man knocked on the doors of two addresses in South Woodford between 5pm and 6pm yesterday.
He targeted two elderly women, one aged 89 in Charnwood Drive, who refused his request.
The other woman, aged 82, of Onslow Gardens, handed over £40.
