The sentencing of a dog owner whose bullmastiff attacked a walker has been adjourned for the fifth time.
Sylvester Campbell, of Lichfield Road in Woodford Green, admitted responsibility after his bullmastiff was dangerously out of control in Highams Park field off Charter Road on April 18.
At Thames Magistrates Court yesterday, it was ruled the 24-year-old would be remanded on unconditional bail until October 31 in order for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Back in April, police were called to the field following a report a man had been bitten by a dog, and Howard Clarke, 56, sustained minor arm injuries during the attack.
Campbell was arrested at the scene and the bullmastiff, which is not prohibited under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, was seized by police.
Magistrates' will also consider what measures to take against the bullmastiff.
