A campaign against domestic abuse is to be launched next month.

Support organisation, Always Protecting Victims (APV), is organising the No More Abuse Campaign, launching on November 13.

The campaign will support and give advice to victims of domestic abuse in Redbridge and will launch at the town hall in High Road, Ilford from 7pm.

The evening will involve speakers from Redbridge council, charity North East London Victim Support and police.

Organiser Pauline Flynn said: “This is a problem that needs tackling and is still a silent subject for many.

“This campaign is for people across Redbridge, to raise awareness and make everyone sit up and take notice.

“It is horrific and we want to offer a chance for victims, whether male, female or a child, to get in touch for support.

"We will work with police and the council to make sure everyone has the chance to receive support."
