A night held in conjunction between two local restaurants and a wine bar has raised more than £1,000 for a local hospice.

The final figure has not been confirmed, but it is estimated that between £1,000 and £1,500 was raised last night for Haven’s House Children’s Hospice.

The charity dinner, which was held at Seasons restaurant in Woodford Green, was arranged in conjunction with the award winning Epping restaurant Haywards.

Head chef Jahdre Hayward, who was recently named Chef of the Year at the Essex Tourism and Hospitality awards, designed the menu with Seasons’ head chef Billy Cronin.

Wine at the event was provided by the Woodford Wine Room.

The money raised from tickets will be donated to Haven’s House, which provides support for young people affected by serious and life-threatening conditions.

Haywards manager Amanda Hayward said the money raised was “a great achievement” and thanked other local businesses who donated raffle prizes.
