A 43-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was attacked with a knife.
Robin Kardam, 43, of Madras Road in Ilford, was arrested yesterday following an incident in Ilford Lane, Ilford.
At 10.45pm on Tuesday police were called to reports of an attack on a woman.
She was taken to an east London hospital after suffering knife injuries to her head and back, but they were not thought to be life-threatening.
Kardam will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates' Court today.
