A school has been rated amongst the top independant preparatories in the country.
Snaresbrook Preparatory School, in Woodford Road, South Woodford, was ranked 19th within the countrywide Sunday Times top 100 independant preparatory schools.
In results released last week the school, which takes pupils from ages 3 to 11, was also 25th in the Top 600 preparatory and state schools.
The rankings are based on academic data such the English and Maths Sats results.
Christopher Curl, headteacher, said: "I am delighted by these results particularly as Sats are not our main focus here.
“It is a brilliant achievement for the school, the staff and especially our Year 6 students, well done to all.
“The results show we have first class staff right through from nursery to year 6."
