Complaints by tenants in London about vermin in their homes are at their highest level in Redbridge, according to a study.
12.3 per cent of complaints about rats and mice in London were from the borough of Redbridge.
Responding to the findings, Cllr Ross Hatfull, cabinet member for community safety, said the authority would take action against landlords who do not deal with the problem.
The study, which examined 32,850 tenant reports. was commissioned by TenantRepair.com.
