A candlelight vigil to remember those killed by the Taliban in Peshawar, Pakistan, is due to take place this evening.
The vigil is taking place today from 5pm to 6pm on the steps of Redbridge town hall, in Ilford.
A total of 132 children were massacred on Tuesday by militants in Peshawar.
Cllr Jas Athwal, leader of Redbridge's Labour council, said: “This a deeply sad tragedy and my heartfelt thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those affected.
"I know that communities across the borough will join me in condemning this appalling and senseless attack.
“We have strong community spirit in Redbridge and I know we will all stand side by side to honour the victims and show our support for their families and loved ones at this terrible time.”
