A THIRD application to build 24 new homes on the site of a former historic house will be reviewed by the borough's Conservation Advisory Panel (CAP) tomorrow (Thursday).

Telford Homes handed in a revised plan to build six houses and 18 flats in the grounds of what was once Chepstow House, in Leicester Road - after its previous application was turned down by Redbridge Council in July.

The CAP will examine the new proposals during a meeting at Ilford Town Hall at 7.15pm, after which they will make recommendations to the council.

The controversial scheme has been opposed by The Counties Residents Association (CRA) and the Wanstead Society who claim the designs of some of the proposed buildings are still out of character with the Grove Park Conservation Area - where the estate is located.
