A REDBRIDGE man has gone on trial accused of taking part in a multi-million pound drug deal.
Abdul Matalib Shammin Rob, of Cavendish Gardens, Ilford, appeared at Kingston Crown Court charged with conspiracy to supply a controlled drug as part of the £33 million operation.
The 30-year-old was arrested after police seized 13 boxes containing more than 330kg of heroin from cars at a motorway service station near Maidstone, Kent, in April last year.
Rob is alleged to have conspired to supply the contents of three of the boxes - with an estimated street value of up to £4 million.
The trial continues.
