A MAN is in hospital with head and arm injuries after a car accident this morning.

The 50-year-old was treated by ambulance crews at the scene and was taken to Whipps Cross University Hospital as an emergency admission.

The smash involved a truck and a pedestrian and happened at about 11.40am.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision in Woodford Avenue.

“We sent an ambulance crew and a single responder and staff treated a 50-year-old man with head and arm injuries.”

Traffic was delayed by the crash until about 2pm and police were also called to the scene.

It has not been confirmed whether the injured man was the pedestrian.
