THE nursery at Roding Primary School will close on March 18 because of strike action, it was confirmed.
It has also been confirmed governors at the school, in Roding Lane North, Woodford Green, will meet tonight to consider talks with union GMB.
The rest of the school will remain open.
Teaching assistants who are members of the GMB walked out last week as they claim they are being underpaid.
The school was forced to close completely during the walkout and more action is planned for this Thursday.
A spokeswoman for the school said: “Our main concern is to avoid any disruption to pupils’ education.
“Staff have requested their job roles are reviewed and the council has written to the GMB to explain that a review of job descriptions and grades for all support staff in all schools has already been undertaken as part of the Single Status process.
“It would not be practical or cost-effective to carry out a separate pay and grading review for the school’s staff.”
