ABOUT 100 people enjoyed an annual garden party at a care home.
Chestnuts Nursing Home in Cambridge Park, Wanstead, held its annual event for residents this afternoon.
The home has 49 elderly residents and they were joined by friends and families as they were entertained by a professional singer.
Jan Fielder sang songs from the 50s to the 70s and there was dancing in the home's garden.
There was also a raffle and lucky winners took away wine, chocolates, toiletries and a big bouquet of flowers.
Shirley Leach, service user liaison officer, organised the event and she said: "It went very well thanks to the weather. Everyone had a wonderful time."
