A CHURCH is one of thousands across the country that will be trying to deliver an updated version of the Ten Commandments.
All Saints’ Church in Inmans Row, Woodford Green, is joining with thousands of churches across the UK for a project called Just 10.
Over 10 weeks All Saints’ will be looking at the Ten Commandments and applying them to daily life.
Rather than being an irrelevant set of rules, the vicar, Paul Harcourt, and other speakers will present the commandments as an essential guide to modern life.
The event begins on Sunday, September 12 and will take place during the main Sunday services. The updated commandments will read:
1: Live by priorities.
2: Know God.
3: Take God seriously.
4: Catch your breath.
5: Keep the peace with your parents.
6: Manage your anger.
7: Affair-proof your relationships.
8: Prosper with a clear conscience.
9: Hold to the truth.
10: Find contentment.
