DOG owners are invited to register their pets for a show which promises to be Wanstead’s answer to Crufts.

The Poorly Paws dog show will take place next Saturday (July 9) at the Eton Manor Rugby Club in Nutter Lane.

There are 15 different classes to enter, ensuring every pooch is in with a chance of winning a prize, and entry costs just £2 per dog.

All proceeds raised by the event will go towards the Poorly Paws charity which provides care for stray and unwanted animals that need rehousing.

Visitors to the show, which starts at 11am will have the chance to pet horses and there will also be a bouncy castle, face painting and live music. Entry is free, but donations are encouraged.

Anyone interested in putting their dog forward for the competition should contact Deana Goom on 07879 644 372 or email her at poorlypaws@live.co.uk
