A MAN charged with attempted murder over the shooting at the Cakes & Shakes ice cream parlour in High Road, Woodford Green, has been remanded in custody awaiting trial, after appearing at Redbridge Magistrates Court today.

Temidire Owolabi, 21, of Brandon Close, Chafford Hundred in Grays, Essex, will now appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on January 30.

Owolabi has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life on November 12, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life on November 14.

A 24-year-old man, named locally as the shop's co-owner, James Bryant, is still fighting for his life in hospital after being shot in the incident last Monday (November 14).

It is believed he was gunned down in front of his mother while clearing up damage caused by a shot fired at the window of Cakes & Shakes during a previous incident on November 12.

On Saturday (November 19), three other men arrested in connection with the investigation were bailed to a date in early January pending further enquiries.
