AN 18-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a girl in Barkingside.
Ako Khalid, who lives in Barkingside High Street, will appear at Redbridge Magistrates Court on Monday (February 13) accused of killing 17-year-old Cheryl Tariah.
She was strangled to death in a flat above clothing shop Buy Labels for Less in Barkingside High Street on Tuesday February 7.
Ms Tariah, of Dunlowe Avenue in Tottenham, was reportedly found alive by paramedics but they were unable to save her.
A 21-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the murder but was later released without charge.
