A GOOD Samaritan opened her door in the middle of the night to save three girls who were being robbed at knifepoint in Wanstead.
The two 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old were walking down Grove Park after a Saturday night out at 1.30am on March 18 when they were approached by two young men.
They slapped the youngest girl around the head and demanded everything she had, but she refused, running off and knocking on a door.
One of the men chased her and, when he asked his accomplice for the knife, she handed over her bag. The men searched through the bag and dropped it on the ground before turning to the second girl and demanding her bag.
At this point the third girl ran off to try and summon help, but she was chased and pushed to the ground before a resident saw what was happening and let the girls into her house. The two man ran off in the direction of Nutter Lane.
Both men were wearing black tracksuits and balaclavas around their faces, the first is around 18-years-old, 5ft 8ins tall and black, while the second is around 20-years-old, 5ft 7ins tall and black.
Anyone with information should call DC Kate Stannard in the burglary and robbery squad of Ilford police on 8345 2667.
