A BRAVE councillor who served the community for 12 years despite being wheelchair-bound has been honoured.
A memorial bench was unveiled in South Park, Ilford, to the memory of Clementswood Cllr Simon Green who died in 2006 from a blood clot and pneumonia.
Mayor Cllr Joyce Ryan gathered with councillors at the unveiling to pay tribute to the Labour member who was severely disabled by a tumour in his spine when he was young.
