ACTOR Christopher Biggins, winner of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! - made a guest appearance at The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts.

He answered questions about his time in the business and also joined the Birds of a Feather star for the weekly classes with the students at Debden Park High School, in Loughton, on Saturday.

The 'King of the Jungle' has been entertaining audiences for over 40 years, appearing in sitcoms including Porridge and Some Mothers Do Ave Em, game shows such as On Safari and countless feature films.

Christopher said: "Pauline is an old friend of mine and I've been eager to come along to one of her new Academies for a while. It's great to see the children gaining confidence, making friends and having fun."

The weekend classes are aimed at children aged from six to 18 with the focus firmly on fun.

The Academy offers students three hours of tuition on Saturday mornings in modules including comedy and drama, musical theatre and film and television. Regular visits from special guests are scheduled, and sessions in specialist areas including stage combat and mask work are also planned.

A few places are available for six to 18-year-olds keen to get involved. For more details, visit www.pqacademy.com or ring PQA on 08456 732022.
