POLICE are looking for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted and robbed at Wanstead Park Station.

The 25-year-old woman was first stopped by two male suspects at around 5pm on Thursday, June 5, when one asked her for the time as she walked from Chapel Road to Woodford Road.

According to reports the two men then followed her into the station, where one man threatened to stab her if she didn't give them her phone and purse.

After handing over her possessions the woman was subjected to a sexual assault by one of the men on the Eastbound platform steps while the other acted as a lookout at the bottom.

Both men, described as being around 15 or 16 years old, fled the station following the attack.

The first male is described as black, possibly of North African descent, about 5'8 tall, with short black hair and a chubby build.

He was wearing a black nylon waist-length jacket, black trousers and black shoes. (Pictured) The second male is described as being of either North African or Asian descent, medium build and approximately 5'7 tall.

His hair was short at the sides and longer on top and he was wearing a cream coloured jacket with black stripes on the side and black trousers.
